If you have a website, you may have already looked into making money online. Maybe your site is designed to make money – an online business or a sales site – or maybe you’ve just got a lot of viewers and want to know how you can start to earn some revenue. Unfortunately, there are a lot of scams out there, designed to cheat you with promises of easy money. The good news is that Google offers several ways to legitimately start making money online.
One way to increase visitors: submitting website to Google. This is essentially Google’s way of letting you get their attention. Instead of waiting for them to find your site, you can send them your URL and they’ll post your site on their result pages. This can be slow, however, and you may do just as well to make sure you have a good site worth linking to. Google’s web crawler (the GoogleBot) follows these links, so you may be able to get your site up on Google before submitting to Google does.
Another way to get more viewers at a site is by advertising. AdWords is a program designed to let you make money Google directs to you. Google will post ads for your site on relevant websites, as well as similar search queries. This means that you automatically reach your target audience. Google usually charges for every click on an ad – which means you don’t have to pay for ineffective ads or ad placement. You only pay for your new customers.
If your site isn’t designed to make money in the first place, there’s still hope. Google’s AdSense program essentially rents out your free space as advertising space. Google posts relevant ads on your website, and you get paid for the trouble. Whatever money Google earns from their advertising client, you get a cut of it.
