			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>One of the exciting things is realising how many young people think it is cool to cook. Some of the people who wouldn&#8217;t have been ‘caught dead’ in a kitchen until recently are now desperate to learn how to cook even the most difficult <a title="Fish Recipes" href="http://www.fishrecipes.me.uk/" target="_self">fish recipes</a>. It&#8217;s hip to entertain casually and whip up a little feast. There is no need for matching cutlery or fancy place settings &#8211; cooking is a social occasion. Get your friends involved in shelling the broad beans, cooking together and having fun. Interestingly, the most hip thing of all nowadays is growing your own food, and then sharing and cooking it with your friends.</p>
<p>For many people cooking is an unimportant skill. Why would you bother to take time out to learn to cook when you could be furthering your career or having fun in the pub? Some would argue that it&#8217;s hugely important to learn how to cook, for lots of different reasons, not least because so much depends on the food we eat &#8211; our health, our energy, our vitality, our ability to concentrate. We can&#8217;t do much about our genes but we can take responsibility for our own health by controlling the food we eat. Health goes in through our mouths and our brains too.</p>
<p>If you can&#8217;t cook, you&#8217;re at the mercy of others for what you eat, and if you are fortunate enough to have delicious, healthy, wholesome food cooked for you, you&#8217;re one in a million. Otherwise, the only alternative is to drop into the local deli, buy ready-prepared meals or make regular trips to restaurants which will prove to be an expensive business. If you can cook, it doesn&#8217;t matter where you are in the world, you can gather a few ingredients together and conjure up a little meal for yourself and your friends. It&#8217;s certainly the easiest way to win friends and influence people.</p>
<p>In the end, the way to everyone&#8217;s heart is through their tummy &#8211; no matter how beautiful you are people soon get fed up with burnt sausages and leathery hamburgers. It is really important to take time out to learn how to cook, because no matter what else you do every day we all need to eat. Learn some cooking skills and take control of your life.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>There is a growing trend in the specialty coffee community &#8211; one that revolves around an ancient technology called pour over.  It&#8217;s simple a ceramic cone that is set on top of a coffee cup, coffee grounds are poured into the cone, and water is poured over that.  As the hot water is poured over the coffee grounds it slowly extracts the flavor, creating a very flavorful cup of coffee that is completely absent of any bitter aftertaste.</p>
<p>But how does one make pour over coffee at home?</p>
<p>It&#8217;s quite simple, really.  Just follow these instructions.</p>
<ul>
<li>Set whatever pour over device you have on top of your coffee mug.  The placement is the same as I described in <a title="Recipe for Vietnamese Iced Coffee" href="http://www.vvlgar.com/peters-knockout-recipe-for-vietnamese-iced-coffee" target="_blank">this article</a>, once it is set on top pour coffee grounds on top of it.</li>
<li>I recommend that (assuming you are grinding the coffee yourself) you grind the beans to a relatively fine setting, quite similar to one you would use for drip coffee pots.  This will allow for a maximized extraction.</li>
<li>Heat the water to approximately 200 degrees Fahrenheit (slightly lower than boiling).  This will also produce a better extraction from the coffee bean, as the water will not draw as much flavor if it is too hot.  You can use a thermometer to make sure that your water is the right temperature.</li>
<li>Once the water is the correct temperature, pour it over the coffee grounds in a circular fashion, being careful not to pour too close to the rims.  You don&#8217;t want the water hitting against the sides of the pour over cone, because the water will slide past the coffee grounds and create a weaker cup of coffee.  Just continue pouring in a circular pattern, being careful to keep all of the coffee grounds wet so that the extraction is even.</li>
</ul>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>No matter where in the world you sit down for dinner the odds are pretty good that chicken will be served as the main course.  Chicken is the most popular meat in the entire world.  The reason for chicken’s popularity has to do with great taste and its health aspects.</p>
<p>Not only is chicken popular around the world but so is the advice that most doctors will give you concerning the eating of meat.  Red meat is a big no-no and chicken is the number one meat that doctors will recommend you use as a replacement for red meat.</p>
<p>It is easy to see why doctors like their patients eating chicken.  The bird contains very little fat and zero carbohydrates.  And if that isn’t enough for you then how about the fact that chicken is very high in B vitamins and contains lots of essential nutrients?</p>
<p>People who suffer from obesity, heart disease, and diabetes are all better off if they eat chicken a few times a week instead of red meat.  Chicken will cause no harm to their health and there are so many ways to cook it that the meal will never get boring.</p>
<p>There is nothing in this world that tastes better than a chicken cooked outside on the BBQ.  That is unless you think that fried chicken is a little slice of heaven.  No matter how you cook the bird there are an unlimited amount of recipes you can use to prepare it with.  There are so many different ways of cooking chicken and recipes that you can use that you eat it every day for months and never have it the same way twice.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This recipe bakes large chocolate chip cookies. If you like your cookies to be huge and crumbly, drop by and bake some cookies with me.</p>
<p>Recipe:</p>
<p>Ingredients</p>
<p>* 2 1/4 cups of all purpose flour<br />
* 1 tsp of baking soda<br />
* 1 tsp of salt<br />
* 1/2 cup of unsalted butter<br />
* 1/2 cup of vegetable shortening<br />
* 3/4 cup of sugar<br />
* 3/4 cup of brown sugar<br />
* 1 tbsp of sour cream<br />
* 1 1/2 tsp of pure vanilla extract<br />
* 2 eggs<br />
* 2 2/3 cups of semisweet chocolate chips</p>
<p>Steps:</p>
<p>For the first step of this large <a href="http://www.chefsupremo.com/chocolate-chip-cookie-recipe/">chocolate chip cookie recipe</a>, we need to prepare the dough first. Lay a piece of waxing paper and sift onto it, the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. We will use this flour mixture later. Prepare a mixing bowl and add the butter and vegetable shortening into the bowl. Whisk the butter and shortening together until they are have a creamy appearance. Alternatively, you can use a electric mixer to conserve human energy. Next in the line is the sugar, brown sugar, sour cream and vanilla extract. Add them all in and whisk them together with the butter mixture. Crack one egg in first, and beat until it merges into the butter mixture, followed by the second egg. Next, add in the sifted flour slowly and continue to beat the mixture together until all the flour is added and the dough is fluffy in texture. Add in and mix the chocolate chips evenly into the dough.</p>
<p>To bake the cookies, we need to prepare 2 baking sheets and place 1/4 cup of dough onto the baking sheets, 3 inches apart. After arranging the dough, wet your hands and use your palm to press the dough into 3 inches in diameter. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and bake the cookies for 10 to 15 minutes, depending on the thickness of your cookies. Keep a look out for brown and crispy edges on the cookies, as brown edges are signs that the cookies are done.  Remove the baking sheet from the oven and cool for 10 minutes. Set the cookie on a cooling rack for further cooling and store them in cookie jars or containers.</p>
