			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>There is a growing trend in the specialty coffee community &#8211; one that revolves around an ancient technology called pour over.  It&#8217;s simple a ceramic cone that is set on top of a coffee cup, coffee grounds are poured into the cone, and water is poured over that.  As the hot water is poured over the coffee grounds it slowly extracts the flavor, creating a very flavorful cup of coffee that is completely absent of any bitter aftertaste.</p>
<p>But how does one make pour over coffee at home?</p>
<p>It&#8217;s quite simple, really.  Just follow these instructions.</p>
<ul>
<li>Set whatever pour over device you have on top of your coffee mug.  The placement is the same as I described in <a title="Recipe for Vietnamese Iced Coffee" href="http://www.vvlgar.com/peters-knockout-recipe-for-vietnamese-iced-coffee" target="_blank">this article</a>, once it is set on top pour coffee grounds on top of it.</li>
<li>I recommend that (assuming you are grinding the coffee yourself) you grind the beans to a relatively fine setting, quite similar to one you would use for drip coffee pots.  This will allow for a maximized extraction.</li>
<li>Heat the water to approximately 200 degrees Fahrenheit (slightly lower than boiling).  This will also produce a better extraction from the coffee bean, as the water will not draw as much flavor if it is too hot.  You can use a thermometer to make sure that your water is the right temperature.</li>
<li>Once the water is the correct temperature, pour it over the coffee grounds in a circular fashion, being careful not to pour too close to the rims.  You don&#8217;t want the water hitting against the sides of the pour over cone, because the water will slide past the coffee grounds and create a weaker cup of coffee.  Just continue pouring in a circular pattern, being careful to keep all of the coffee grounds wet so that the extraction is even.</li>
</ul>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In simple terms, take-out food is just food that is convenient, you do not have to shop for the ingredient, cook the food, and clean up the mess afterwards, but the question is, &#8220;Is it bad for you?&#8221; The answer is yes, some of the time. It all depends on what you get when you get take-out food. If you choose the wrong kind that is loaded with calories, sodium, sugar, and Trans fat, then it is definitely not that good for you.</p>
<p>Here are some of the reasons this type of take-out <a href="http://www.vellka.com/">delivery food</a> is not good for you.</p>
<p>Poor nutrition&#8211;most take-out foods have an absence of nutrients that are essential to your body. When you eat take-out food on a daily basis, it can deprive your body of the nutrients that it needs to function. Yes, it does fill up our stomach, but our bodies are being filled with just fat, unwanted calories, and cholesterol leaving our bodies deficient in the essential nutrients and vitamins it needs.</p>
<p>You can see an increase in belly fat&#8211;if your body does not have the essential nutrients its needs, you are going to have poor dietary fiber levels. This can result in your blood sugar levels destabilizing, the ability to function right, your immune system gets weaker, and your body&#8217;s metabolic rate will decrease. If you do not lead an active lifestyle you will see an increase in the fat storage in your body, causing weight gain and possibly obesity.</p>
<p>Clog your arteries&#8211;because most take-out foods are high in cholesterol the levels in the bloodstream are going to increase. When your blood passes through the arteries the cholesterol gets deposited in the walls of the arteries in the form of plaque. This can build up over time and clog your arteries. If your arteries become clogged, it can prevent oxygenated blood from flowing to your heart and cause a stroke.</p>
<p>It can increase the risk of heart disease&#8211;take-out foods are usually high in sodium. Your kidneys are what maintain the right levels of sodium in your body and if you eat large amounts of sodium, your kidneys are not going to have the time to get rid of all of the sodium. When the kidneys cannot get rid of all the sodium it begins to build up in your body, which can cause your heart to pump even harder to help eliminate the sodium causing a rise in your blood pressure and possible kidney disease.</p>
