A Portugal vacation isn’t complete without seeing Lisbon city breaks. This heart of Portugal will surely capture tourists’ hearts with its enchanting atmosphere, amazing cobbled streets, breathtaking views and spectacular buildings and architecture.

Here in this city, traveler can enjoy the pleasant Mediterranean climate. The Trade Square or locally known as The Praca do Comercio is locqated beside the Tagus river and is surrounded by arched vaults. There tourists may walk through the entire place seeing the Arch of Augusta Street which was inspired by the famous French Arch of Triumph and the statue of King Joseph I which is surrounded by structures that represent the rebuilding of the city after the 1755 earthquake.

Edward VII Park, on the other hand is located on top of the Liberty Avenue also known as Avenida da Liberdade where expensive shops are situated. It is also a great spot to have an overview of the city of Lisbon. Through this park, tourists can also visit the Estufa Fria or the Greenhouse which is a natural nursery of exotic species from all over the globe.

The neoclassical style of Basilica da Estrella is also something that shouldn’t be missed. It was dated back in the 18th century with two bell towers that are home to paintings of Pedro Alexandrino and Batoni. The Tower of Belem is also another famous spot in Lisbon. This was built during the Discoveries Era in Saint Vincent’s honor who is the patron saint of the city. It is spectacular with the typical manuelino style and as the symbol of the individuality and universality of good old Portugal.
