Submit Site To Google For Website Traffic?

Posted on 19 February 2010

You always hear people talk about different reasons why you should submit site to Google. While submitting your web site to Google will register your web site with their database, it really won’t do that much to help your web site rankings.

Making money with Google will require a little effort on your part. You need to understand how the web crawlers work and what they are searching for when they determine where your web site will end up in the search engine rankings.

The search engine crawlers are looking at the titles of your web site pages along with the information that is found in the first 2-3 paragraphs. If you have a phase that includes certain keywords in the title tag and within the web site content, the search engine crawlers will list your information in the search engine results. Use Google AdWords to help you come up with relevant keywords that will drive targeted traffic to your web site.

Relevant Content

The other way to boost your web site traffic is to make sure your content is relevant to your web site followers. It must be up-to-date as broken links and outdated content can end up at the bottom of the search engine rankings. Most people do not click past the second page of the search engine rankings so you must do your best to end up on that first or second page.

Inbound Links

The other way to improve your search engine rankings is to increase the number of inbound links you have feeding into your web site. Encourage people to repost your information and post a link back to your web site. The other way to improve your inbound links is to participate in a pay-per-click advertising program. Even though you have to pay for it, it will quickly boost your web site traffic if your customers feel the desire to click on the ad.
