RC Cars – A Great Beginner’s Model – Traxxas RC Stampede

Tags: , , ,

There are many people who are really starting to get into RC racing as it is shown on television late at night. These RC cars are a lot faster than the old remote controlled cars that you used to find 10 years ago – these ones are capable of incredible speeds and car easily beat a full size car in acceleration alone.

The cars are called Nitro cars, or Nitro buggies, which run on a mixture of nitro methane and oil, function in much the same way as full size engines because they have an internal combustion engine which is typically two stroke in order to generate their massive power. However, these hobby grade engines are expensive to buy, and a chassis that is designed to handle the large forces generated by this engine even more so, and the huge cost can be very off-putting to those who just want to get started.

Luckily, there are cheaper models available that are not quite toy-grade but still pack a lot of acceleration and speed. Electric technology is improving fast, and some think that maybe one day the electric variants will be faster than the nitro powered versions.

If you are looking for a powerful starter’s car then you couldn’t do any better than a Traxxas Stampede for starting out. These cars are powered by battery rather than an oil nitro mixture which gives them a little bit less power but they are still really fast and maneuverable. The cost of the starting model of the Stampede is under $200 which is really affordable for many especially since the full scale nitro models can cost $600 or even more!

The 4×4 rating of the Traxxas Stampede allows it to travel over multiple surfaces, and its suspension can handle the bumps with ease. If you are looking for a good car for starting out then look up this model – you won’t regret it!

3 Toy Range From Spin Master – Mighty Beanz, Bakugan Battle Brawlers, and the Dolls

Tags: , , , , ,

If you are into toys you will no doubt have heard of the Spin Master company, who have had a very long history of supplying some of the best toys in the country to children. Starting with the 3 most interesting toys in the company’s line up this year, let’s explore them in more detail:

Starting with the Mighty Beanz, this range has just seen the release of a new series of the original toys in 2009 and now again in 2010. The small beans are one inch high and have a magnetic bean inside the toys that allows them to flip and flop and roll around in very exciting ways. There are a lot of games that can be played with these little toys, and they are great fun to play with for young boys and girls alike. There are also the Star Wars Mighty Beanz, a side license that is set to do good things for the company, combining both passionate fan bases of Star Wars fans and Mighty Beanz fans.

Next there are the Liv Dolls, a set of 4 characters that have based-on-real-life stories that try to make the dolls as down to earth as possible. The direction that the Liv Dolls have went in makes for an interesting change in the way that dolls are presented to young girls and it trys to move them away from being all glitz and glamour. Suffice to say, they have been very successful so far since their release, and they see frequent updates.

Also on the shelves are the Bakugan Battle Brawlers, and hybrid card/collection game that involves mini robotic warriors that roll around and combat each other on the way to obtaining 3 gate cards for the player. These toys are based on the hit TV series, so watch out for them the next time the set is on.

All of these toys should be very successful this Christmas as well as being great fun, so if you have children then take them as mini-gift ideas if you are in the dark.
